Refinishing Old Hardwood Floors and Stairs and Painting

I tried everything to get the old awful finish off these stairs, including scraping and sanding with an orbital sander. The Citristrip paint stripper did the trick though, and it wasn't too bad.

I applied a coat of walnut stain before sealing with 3 coats of polyurethane, which made the finish look incredible. Afterwards, I decided to paint the risers and trim white to make it look even cleaner. The stairs and upstairs landing looked great after it was complete.
